I have an iPad and accessories being delivered that I signed up for on contract. I signed the contract whilst I was a little bit merry after returning from hospital due to kidney stones, and I was pumped full of morphine. I misinterpreted the costs and timeframe and the fact I just don't need a new iPad, especially one that has mobile data...
anyway it's being delivered today via dpd - I called up sky and their representative said that I should just refuse delivery and return to sender as the contract doesn't begin until I've signed for the items.
but reading the contract, I have a 14 day cooling off period anyway, so as long as the iPad is in the same condition (I won't open any of the packaging) I can just request return packaging and then send it back without fuss.
so, will it be better to refuse delivery or trigger the 14 day clause?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYou can do either, if you refuse delivery it should be returned to Sky while if you accept it you would then speak to Sky about returning it within those 14 days as they would send you a return label that you would need attach to it, so it really is up to you what you do.

@caesarome do you know if refusing delivery will trigger the contract to be voided. My only worry is I'll refuse and then it'll be sent back to warehouse and then returned right back to me.
