i answered a text which i afterwards realised was a scam will my phone be hacked
I answered a text that i though was legitamate, but it turned out to be someone trying to get my details. I initially gave name, address and credit card details thinking it was ok, they then texted me and asked me to call them, which i did not do, they then texted an obscenity, then i realised it was dodgy. Will my phone have been accessed, should i be concerned? I have obviously stopped the card i gave them details of, phew!

Hi @Angiemu your phone should be ok but did you give any passwords etc ? If so change your account logins.

Some advice from Sky can be found here:

At the very least you need to contact your card company so they cancel the card and send you another one.
I take it you didn't give them any login details for your Sky account ?

If you gave them credit card details incl the CCV number on the back then they could use the card online to pay for expensive goods. Good to hear you cancelled the card.
The phone should be OK.
I don’t work for Sky.
