Why have I had network failure on my mobile for the last two days.

I live in Milton Keyne and have been getting network failure on my mobile.  I can pick up wifi with my BT internet. Ive reset my network settings.  Sky say they are working on the issue in my area and will get back in 48 hrs.  How come no one else seems to be asking about this problem ?
