Why am I getting my first bill 4 days after I activated my new sim - a week after it came in post??

They sent out the sim on 27th August, and I got it a week ago and I activated yesterday friday 5th Sep. So why am I getting a bill on 10th September - as its not due until October?  Im only using it a day and Im getting a bill already? I thought I would get a month on the new sim card? Thats how it works for every other company

@Peter_Q Your first bill is due 3 days after you activate the SIM,

Your first bill

You start paying for Sky Mobile from the date you activate your SIM. We’ll take your first payment 3 days after that (or up to 13 days after that if you're paying by Direct Debit) and it covers your first month. For example:

Your SIM is activated on 4 July, payment is taken on 7 July (or 17 July if you're paying by Direct Debit) and covers the period from 4 July – 3 August.

If you activated on the 29th, 30th or 31st of the month, your first bill might be lower as it will cover less than a full month.
