Why Sky Mobile Is No Good For Anyone With Dexterity Skill Problems

After  many years of being a customer I will be leaving Sky Mobile in 2024 and this is about the only avenue I know of where I can tell someone why.

Over the years phones have become more advanced in their features and there's a need to maximise space without making the phones bulkier, so manufacturers cut down on the size of SIM cards in order to fit more important components like bigger batteries or better processors. Now when I went to change my phone with Sky they sent me what I asked for - but it came with a micro SIM (or possibly a nano SIM as I don't know the difference). Now I was adept at handling a full size SIM card, but I am unable to insert a smaller card into the phone that it comes with. I spent hours with no success, and had to return new phones not once but twice. (I thought a different manufacturer's might have been easier.) My Sky phone is now very old - come to think of it so am I - so I need to get a replacement, but Sky do not offer the same service as someone who has a shop on the High Street because if I go there I can get someone in the store to set the thing up for me including that conjuring trick they do with the SIM.

Thanks for your response and I should have said I tried going down this road but it didn't help.

@holeinmyshoe

Sky and any other retailer cannot make phone manufacturers specify a full size SIM, which at this point in time is essentially obsolete anyway: physical SIM technology itself is on the way out.
