Urgent: Ongoing Mobile Network Outage in IG6 - Immediate Resolution Needed
My postcode is IG6. Since August 10th, my mobile network has not been working—it's completely dead. Every day, I check the status and receive this message:
'Sorry, a phone mast close to you isn't working.
It looks like a phone mast near you isn't working as it should. We're sorry for the inconvenience. Our engineers are on the case and making progress, but your service might come and go until we fix it. We'll update you by Monday, 09/09/2024.
Updated 11:03 (refreshed hourly). Recent faults might not show yet.'
Can you imagine the problem this is causing? I have no signal, no data, and they are still charging me monthly. They haven't even bothered to say when it will be fixed. What am I supposed to do now?

There is nothing you can do nt the owner of the mast, and this will not be Sky, fixes it then you can ask for compensation credit to be applied to your account for the days you have had no service.

Re: Urgent: Ongoing Mobile Network Outage in IG6 - Immediate Resolution Needed
Unfortunately Sky uses the O2 network so any mast issues are down to O2 to resolve.
I'm not familiar with the area but it appears that a new mast is going to be installed on Fencepeice Road, roughly opposite Chigwell Pharmacy. The roadworks are listed on 25th-27th November and the description is "Client will be visiting site to install telecoms cabinets and pole.". The client is Cornerstone Telecom, a mast sharing joint venture between O2 and Vodafone.
If that is anywhere near you it may be that a current mast has been removed (usually at the request of the landlord) before a replacement can be put in place.
