Unrequested phone order - i have been scammed
I had a call with someone claiming to be sky customer support last week over some issues with my sky Q box, i confirmed some information but nothing sensitive but straight after the call someone tried to order a Iphone 16 using my details and i received a sim card.
I have tried and tried and tried to speak to someone from sky to discuss this but noone can help and i keep getting directed to the action fraud website!
The auto chat bot cant recognise this issue and im now left here as a last resort.
How do i speak to a human being to report a serious breach of security that could potential leave me out of pocket!!!!

Re: Unrequested phone order - i have been scammed
This is probably what has happened because if the first call you received did not ask for your telphone password then the chances are it was not from Sky:

If you receive an unexpected parcel from Sky get in touch with our customer services team immediately. We can give advice on what to do. Don’t send the parcel anywhere except our returns address.
We’ll give you pre-paid returns packaging to send the parcel back to us.
When you hear the bot try saying nothing and remain on the line.

Re: Unrequested phone order - i have been scammed
Hi, Thanks for the help and advice, just tried to call customer services, I got put through to sky q first, then transfered me to sky mobile, i gave them my details and they then told me the system was down and would call me back in less than 2 mins...... still waiting.
This is so disapointing, surley fraudulant actiivity should be dealt with as the highest priority but after nearly a day of trying to report this i am still no further forward.

Re: Unrequested phone order - i have been scammed
They try to obtain sufficient details so that they can order an expensive mobile phone under your details which subsequently gets sent to your address. The scammers then recontact you saying they've made a mistake and to send it to a (non Sky) address. They then have the device and you have the bill!
With any unexpected calls from Sky if the caller asks for your telephone password to confirm you're the account holder (which a genuine Sky agent should) initially give an INCORRECT one on purpose. If the caller doesn't challenge it then you know it'll be a scam call.
Unfortunately in this case any security breach isn't down to Sky.
