Unable to use phone , only WiFi calls, no data access can’t do software updates.

Hi all, help!! I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max which I haven't been able to use for about 3 months, only WiFi calls and access. I can't do software updates, they just hang in the verification process. I've tried network reset, no joy. I put my sim in an old iPhone and it worked, so thought I'll upgrade. I'm out of contract. No joy. I've not been able to transfer my number to my new 16promax. I get an error message to say my old iphobe doesnt support eSIM transfer. I constantly get ' you have a cellular connection error' and telling me to do software update. But they don't work. Can't call sky as the phones not working!! Any ideas?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

So to be clear @Shas14xx you have a new phone and you want to use an esim on it but as you old phone will not do an esim transfer then you are stuck. If this is the case I would suggest you call Sky to see if they can send you a replacement sim for the new phone that will come with the same number and if they can you then have the option to convert it to an esim.

Hi, thank you. I'll try to email them as I can't call! I was hoping to sort the issues getting through to someone can be a nightmare. I'm worried that whatever glitch affected my old phone has been transferred.
