Unable to sign up to Amazon and texts

So I got my new Sky mobile sim and activated it yesterday Then I started getting texts from the NHS as its obviously a reused number and whoever had it before hasn't changed their number. Now I can't sign up for Amazon because the new number is linked to another Amazon account! The automated assistant is absolutely useless so how do I contact someone at Sky about this

Hi @Chris11521  not sure there is anything anyone at Sky can do other than give you a different number. You should be able to call them on 150.

Well after getting nowhere with the online assistant I did finally get a number to speak to someone

The first person seemed to understand and tried to put me through to the right department but I got some recorded message saying that there were technical issues and they were closed then the call ended. 

The second guy said he could block the sim and I can take out a new contract for more than what I am paying now as the cancellation department was closed today.

I explained I don't need a new sim just a different number and he didn't seem to understand.

 

 

Guess I'll try tomorrow
