Travelling abroad

Will my son's mobile work automatically once he lands in Crete, Greece?

Is there anything I need to do on our family account?

If the device is correctly configured for roaming then the £2/day charge should kick in automatically subject to any spend cap on the SIM.

The roaming passport only unlocks the UK package of calls/data - local calls are charged at international rates.
