Transferred old number, but can only call out not receive

I've switched from O2 to sky mobile, and transferred my old phone number across. 

I was emailed being informed that it would be transferred 23/01/24 at 5pm and that I would get a text saying so, but I never did. 

 

I can make calls and texts which show up to my contacts as my old number (the number I want to keep) but when my contacts attempt to text or call that number it says "you've dialed an incorrect number).

 

In the settings of my iphone my number is displayed as the new number sky provided me with, I have tried to overwrite this but it doesn't work.

 

I have now contacted sky 5 times regarding this and they've said it's in query but I'm not getting anywhere please help.

It might be worth ordering yourself a replacement sim as that will come with the correct transfered number:
