The video is not availble in your region - Sky mobile Ireland

Hi there, 

I just recently joined the Sky mobile Ireland network. The issue that I'm having is that when I'm trying to watch movies on line in Chrome browser on my mobile using the Sky mobile network,  I'm receiving an error message: The video is not available in your region. 

I checked the website rules and it says that video won't play in the UK and a few other countries. But no restrictions in  Irealnd.

.When turning the VPN service on and choosing Ireland, France or Italy, for instance,  the video plays alright. When playing video on Virgin Media network, Three or An Post mobile data with no VPN is on, the video plays again. But not on Sky mobile network.  So I'm not sure why it  doesn't play on Sky mobile network in Irealnd? And why the error message is showing that the video is restricted in my region, if there is no restriction for Ireland? Is there anyone out there  who can explain me how this is works please? And is there a way to fix this. Many thanks in advance for any tips.

@C0NN0 yes. By turning the roaming feature off on your phone. When it's on, it's picking up the Sky UK IP address

Thanks for that, much appreciated, looking to switch from Vodafone Ireland. 

We're all becoming IT engineers. It should be easier than this to switch phone networks, it used to be simple. 😅
