THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH SKY MOBILE IN THE 18 YEARS I HAVE BEEN WITH THEM

I have never in my time with Sky experienced the most frustrating  time when trying to order a mobile phone. On Friday 14th Feb after a bit of research I decided to change my phone and wanted to order one from Sky (mainly because all or our household devices are Sky including Sims, Phones, Laptops etc). During my initial call everything was going swimmingly until it came to using my card to pay £2 which was the oustanding upfront fee after cashing in some data.

My card would not "capture",  after several attempts to sales guy offered to call me the next moring to try and sort it (fair enough I thought). Was called by a different person the next day and still it did not capture my card after 2/3 attempts the sales lady called me back  (please bear in mind that I have to go through the whold thing everytime i.e. name, address, postcode, phone details, contract, price etc etc). On calling me back the same thing happened and I asked if I could speak with a supervisor/Manager as it was just getting ridiculous and soooo frustrating (all for £2 which in my opinion could have been added to my next sky bill). I was told a supervisor/manager would ring me back... no call forthcoming.

I have to say at this point i became very irrate and called back asking for a manager again, after being transfered to different people "3" times I was put through to another sales person who wanted to go through "the whole thing again". I have to admit I became quite rude but not abusive to which I apologised to the operator and it isnt realy their fault. I put the phone down and once I had calmed down I rang  "yet again" by this time I have lost count of how many people I had spoken to or how many times I was transfered etc.

I actually got through to a lady who was in training bless her, obviously going the whole thing again etc, my card acually captured and was told the phone was in stock to I am assuming I should received it quite soon even though on my account its states its on "back order".

All of this was for £2, I cant tell you how disappointed I am with Sky and my TV/Broadband contract is up in April and at the moment my partner will not entertain renewing it.

This may seem and extreme opinion but it was bloody awful.  THANKS SKY

Here is an update on current experience regarding my mobile phone order. Because it stated in my account that the phone was on back order I decided to call sky again (11 calls so far) as I was definately told that the phone was in stock at the time of the order. Well well well shock horror, digust, upset, angry and exhausted its not in stock.

I bloody hate sky at the moment, i am so frustrated and sick and tired of them.

I'm afraid that's what on back order means. As stock would be leaving warehouses probably on a 24/7 basis it's very difficult for the Sky website to state 100% that a particular device, colour etc would be in stock at any given time.

I get that, but I was told verbally that the phone was in stock. Now looking for deals with O2 or something like that
