Still paying for old mobile phone I traded in

I did a switch upgrade and sent my old phone back to sky because it said that my device covered the rest of the cost I had left to pay. I never received any confirmation that they received my phone and I'm still paying for it so I'm paying for both phones. Am I still meant to be paying off my old phone or is this not right and I need to contact them? Thanks.

It will work out but there can be a delay of up to 3 weeks when a device has been returned as it takes the company that handles the returns for Sky this long to inspect it. Any overpayment should be refunded by the way of a credit on your account once this has been done.

To be honest I did this switch back in November last year. I was convinced I still had to pay it off but am just realising now that isn't right. I guess I should call them and see what they say now.
