Still cannot call or text since moving to sky weeks ago

I am very frustrated that I still can't call or text from my phone since moving to sky. There is no way of contacting customer services.

Did you transfer a number from a different network to Sky and have Sky told you that the transfer has been completed ?

Yes. I have moved from o2. My 3/4/5g works but when I try to call it just hangs up immediately. I have had absolutely no instructions, guidance or support from sky. Baffled and will be severing my contract if I find no way of getting any support from sky

Ii zeem to remember i had the same issue, Sky sent me a link to change rhe settings on my phone but this didnt work so i searched internet and found the correct settings for the phone i was using and updated manually. No problems since. So you need to search for the settings for your phone type to use sky sim.

Hope this helps i know it is a little vague as it was a couple of years ago, but i feel your frustration

Give this a try:

 

Go to sky.com/networksettings (My Account > Mobile > Settings) and sign in with your Sky iD.
Select the mobile number or SIM name you're having trouble with.
Scroll to 'Resend network settings' and select Request settings.
Save the settings when your receive them and reboot your phone.

Thanks. Have done. How long does it take to "recieve the new settings"? Does this come in the form of a text message?

 

is this how sky mobile works? Do they rely on helpful unpaid forum members like yourself to serve their customers?

The settings should come through more or less straight away in the form of a text message.
