Started a contract for a Macbook Air, then ended my Mobile airtime plan....
So, Sky have royally messed up not only my account management, but the good standing I will have had with them for years.
I ordered, received, and set up a new MacBook Air with them, everything was fine and dandy. I was browsing the best plan for my mobile, and I couldn't find anything better than a Sim-only deal Tesco were offering, so, as I was well out of contract, I utilised the Switch text. That went fairly smoothly.
Now, my account had enough in it for the final iPhone payment, plus the next payment for my MacBook Air, and a little bit towards the next time I get paid.
Just over a week ago, I get a strange text message saying I am getting a refund, and it should be in my bank account in 5-7 days. Annoying, but, it's easy(ish) to call up and get that stopped because it'll cause issues with my MacBook payment, right? Nope! They never sent it to my account, they posted me a bleeding cheque, which will take a minimum on 7 days to process, and my bill is due on 1st of July.
Of course, there is never anybody about who can help with stuff like this, and the stupid AI just gets itself confused and goes around in circles.
Does the system or a human even bother checking the status of accounts? Does it not see the active agreement? I went with Sky because, up until now, I've never had an issue with purchasing hardware. What am I supposed to do when I can't pay my bill for the 1st, because I don't get paid again until mid-july AND Sky themselves sent me the money unasked for!
