Someone using my number to call my family members!

Hi there, 

I have been using sky network for the last 13, 14 months but something ver weird happened today. One of my family members received a call from my number while I didn't dial any number. I checked my history but I could not find any traces of that call which my relative complaint about. Is sky providing their customers details to the scammers??

Unlikely.

Number spoofing is rife - it may just be a coincidence that the spoofed number is known by the recipient.

Hi @Asim201  i very much doubt sky will be giving numbers to scammers. Scammers these days can spoof numbers so that's what has probably happened here. They could have gotten your number from various sources, did they claim to be you ? Did they ask for anything ?

I received mAny calls from different numbers every day. In fact, I just ignore these calls. But I didn't know they are scammers calling me or they are the ones called by the scammer replicating my number. But recently one of my family members received a call from my number and the scammers said nothing, he said. That was shocking. I mean how many people would have been called from my number and they my think that I have called them, that's why I receive calls from different numbers just to confirm why did they receive a call from my number.
