Hi,
I'm new to Sky Mobile and was wondering if anyone has any ideas how to improve my connection speed.
I am using an iphone 13 pro and have installed all of the settings i was sent the link to by text.
Outdoors I am getting under 1mb on 4g and still less than 6mb on 5g. Its that bad then when i was connected to 4g yesterday websites and the sky app failed to load.
I came to Sky mobile from Smarty and am starting to regret it, but am hoping someone can help me change my mind.
Thank you in advance

Did you have any joy with this? I switched to Sky Mobile after a decade with EE in September. Three months in and, comparatively, the 5g and 4g speeds are dreadful and the coverage is unreliable. Dare to go inside a building and good luck getting data. Dare to go anywhere other than a big city and good luck getting data.
Having had Sky TV, broadband and mobile services in the past decade I think I can safely say Sky should stick to the TV, as the rest of what they provide aren't fit for purpose.

Unfortunately there seems to be no resolution, this seems to be a a general O2 issue. I had a hunt round the forums and it the general consensus seems that the network is over crowded as it is used by so many other smaller networks such as Sky, Tesco, GiffGaff and Lyca mobile all using the limited bandwidth they have available.
I would say if you have never used another network you probably would not think it was too bad but i tried Vodafone and had exactly the same problem. Where as EE and Three have much faster networks with what seems to be far superior coverage, i personally think the coverage checkers should be more realistic when they say you can get a signal as they should say if that signal is actually going to work. I am gutted i am stuck in a 2 year contract with such poor service.

I'm in the same boat can't get more than 5 or 6 mbps. I'm not giving up though. Making an official complaint to sky and I want to terminate this contract without early termination fees. This level of service is atrocious. It doesn't matter where I am the speed is super slow. I've done all the troubleshooting they've recommended. Nothing worked. I can't have another 2yrs of this.
Unfortunately for me I also have sky broadband at home and that isn't working either so I'm hotspotting off my phone. I'm losing my mind trying to watch anything online. @Sky

You're not tagging Sky, just an unfortunate user who chose that tag...
Anyway, dataplan terms are 12 months if that helps. For reference I'm getting 36Mbps (5G) but your performance will vary depending on the distance from the mast and the congestion etc.

I am having the same battle about my contract not being suitable for use, it truly is shocking that sky/O2 do not care about their customers

Ah thanks.. My speed issues are the same wherever I am, in or out of London (but I'm mostly in London)

I cannot agree more. It seems to be a compacity issue as I get better speeds in rural areas where theres no one else to share the connection with. My partner is on Virgin Mobile and since they changed partners from Vodafone to O2 she has also been having issues. With so many people complaining if the same issue I wish ofcom would step in

O2 is a terrible network and suffers congestion in many areas. I'll never switch to Sky mobile for as long as they use O2. Sky would be wise to move away from them.
