Sky mobile in Canada

We arrived in Halifax Nova Scotia yesterday. Since then my mobile (and my husband's and daughter's) have not connected to any mobile network and all just say SOS in the top right hand corner. I have tried all of the Sky trouble shooting fixes but nothing has worked. Is there a network issue? Is there anything else that we can try?

We go travelling around NS from tomorrow so will be out of WiFi area, so really need to get something sorted.

Well this would have been good 2 months ago when I first reported it!!! Unbelievable! Home now and looking for an alternative provider as Sky have done nothing!

Lost network coverage in Canada

I have had network for the first day in Vancouver Canada and now network is lost and is on SOS. I can't seem to manually connect to a network. Has anyone had similar and resolved it?

Your post has been moved into this thread discussing problems in Canada. Sky are aware some customers are having this issue. It's being investigated, most likely in conjunction with Canadian networks. See the post currently showing as the answer.

So just arrived in Alberta yesterday and nothing works!

We had a brief issue with this in February/March but it resolved itself in 24hrs or so.

I've followed all of the various guides on how to "fix" the issue and nothing works!

So 3 phones basically dead!

Given that this has been going on for months now it seems without any resolution I might be looking for a new provider when I get back

It doesn't matter what phone you are using - and no you won't be updated, it's been going on for months without any communication whatsoever although the super users are insistent that it's being worked on. I've yet to see any evidence

Get yourself a global esim - it's unlikely that you phone will work until you return home. This has been going on for months with no progress having been advised

I don't think Sky will help anyone! I think it is preferable to get an eSIM for use in Canada. I was there for 2 months and the situation was never resolved. Those that got an eSIM made the best choice in my opinion.

Sim not working after 24 hours in Canada

We landed in Toronto Friday Aug. 1, 2025, and the Roaming Passport Plus kicked in, recieved the text message and for 24 hours it worked fine, but it woulde not connect again.  It will not reconnect to another day of it.  So I have no mobile signal at all, the tech support I was finally able to chat with actually told me to remove the sim card, rub it, and put it back in.. and to no ones surpise, that did not work.  I have no spend limits, and all settings on the phone are correct to what I can find here and online.  It is not the phone.  My wife who has another iphone version, is having the same issue.  So.. 2 phones, different models, same issue.

Hi @Joe+S.  try changing the setting in settings, mobile service, sim applications.
