Sky number to sky

If I sign a new phone contract, will I be able to transfer my old Sky number to a new Sky SIM card with a new contract?

No.

You move the SIM card from old to new phone.  (And do not activate a new dataplan)

(there is a protracted workaround but you have to transfer the number out of the network and back in again)

@Stalka

It isn't possible to transfer a number from one Sky sim to another Sky sim

If you want to transfer the number you have to the new sim then you would need to use a Pac code to transfer it to a PAYG network and then use another sim via them to transfer it back to your new Sky sim.

I have saved gigabytes from the previous contract and I would like to have this data package on a new contract with cheaper data packages

You can't transfer saved piggybank between two different accounts if this is what you want to do.

The piggybank is lost if you cancel the last SIM on the account.

If you want to keep your number and the piggybank then you need to do the following:

1. Activate a new dataplan on your account (it will have a new phone number)

2. Transfer the existing number outside the network (to a PAYG for example)

3. Transfer the number back to the new dataplan

This will result in keeping your piggybank and having a new dataplan with your existing number.

Unless Sky are prepared to apply an offer to your existing dataplan then there's no alternative.
