Unfortunately you've not helped the situation by cancelling the direct debit. Sky have therefore restricted your service.

Any calls to Sky will direct you to make the payment and set up a new payment method. Sky won’t reinstate your services until you’ve paid what they say is owed in full and set up a new continuous payment method. If your payment is two or more weeks overdue you will need to pay the next bill as well.

If you can’t pay it all in one go you can pay what you want, but until the bill is fully paid Sky will not reinstate your services. Sky don't allow payment plans on overdue live accounts, nor will they consider promises to pay on or by a certain date.

Once your full payment has cleared and is in Sky’s account your services should be reinstated, but this may not be instant. Any payment you make over a weekend isn’t likely to be processed until the following week as banks are closed.

Then you'll be able to speak to Sky. You can't just withhold payment.

Re: Sky have blocked my phone

That's not going to happen they've overtaken money by over £300 now, they're not getting a penny more out of me until they resolve the issue of the stolen phone, if they had of sorted this sooner then we wouldn't be in this situation, next steps for me I guess then are to cancel all services from sky, broadband and other devices and they can come collect them at their own convenience and I'll find another provider for all of my services, this really is an appalling way to treat loyal customers over a stolen phone left outside my property by DPD

then I'm afraid to say all your services will be restricted, late payment fees will be added and Sky could involve a debt collection company which will impact your credit score.

you will only be able to cancel TV or Broadband if you're not in a discounted term

and they can come collect them at their own convenience

the onus is on the customer to return the loaned equipment after successfully cancelling. Sky won't collect anything.

and I'll find another provider for all of my services, this really is an appalling way to treat loyal customers over a stolen phone left outside my property by DPD

Unfortunately the contract you agreed requires you to return them or be charged.

As above, cancelling your DD is not going to resolve the issue.

Re: Sky have blocked my phone

Sky have broken the contract and provided no customer service they wouldn't have a leg to stand on when I sue them for loss of earnings for blocking my work phone mid day without warning and without good cause or having spoken to the customer first, good luck to sky guess I'll see them in the court room when they're being bent over, by the way I earn £310 per second on the stock market so that's a lot of loss of earnings I expect back, I suggest someone at sky pull their finger out and get my phone back on and working today or start looking at court proceedings

@Nick51

Sky mobile is a domestic service and is not for business/ work use. That's somewhere in your contract.

@Nick51 The bit of your last post i hvave highlighted i dont believe for one second, if you made taht much per second that equates to £18,600 per hour, anyone making that money wouldn't be paying for a phone on credit or using a phone to access the stock market, your claims are laughable.

Sky will in no way reimburse you for fictional loss of earnings, they wouldnt be liable in any way even if your earnings where real.

Have you actually read your contract?  As noted above it's a domestic service and such consequential losses are explicitly not covered.

Re: Sky have blocked my phone

When I hear rants like this, all common sense seems to go out the window and they start talking gobbledygook.
I have yet to see or hear when someone has taken has taken sky to court (when I worked as a sky engineer back in the 90s...Brits were the best in the world at complaining). And won....Cancelling a DD wasn't the brightest thing to do for someone as bright as you!

Re: Sky have blocked my phone

No don't listen to them if you put another SIM card in the phone will work it's only the SIM card that is blocked and all new contract phones that come now all come unlocked so try another SIM card put credit on then it will work
