Sky Mobile contract decimating my credit score

Ever since I switched to Sky Mobile from O2 (in May 2024), my credit score has been negatively impacted quite substantially. I figured this was normal when switching to a new provider so ignored it and pushed forward, but I've noticed my score continue to decline. So upon doing some digging on Clear Score, I've found that my Sky contract is categorised as "short term debt" instead of "long term debt". My O2 contracts were always categorised as Long Term and that's how it should be, short term is supposed to be credit that's paid off in under 12 months, but I have a 3 year contract.

Is this typical with a Sky Mobile contract? I feel like I'm going to have to pay off my device long before those 3 years are up just to prevent further damage as it would only make it more difficult for me to apply for credit in the future.

I would say short term is correct given the list of examples given on the clear score link.

But I do note it suggests short term is 12 months.

Perhaps worth contacting ClearScore first to see what they say?
