Only noticed this issue recently after switching from Three.

 

Was onto a Sky Mobile rep on WhatsApp this morning. Repeatedly asked that I check for the VoLTE setting on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus. No accountability from the rep at all and that my handset was the issue rather than the network provider itself.

 

Has anyone received any update from Sky on this? Wouldn't be surprised if they haven't.

Did you have the VoLte switch on your phone with a Three Sim?

The Three SIM is inactive since I brought my number over to Sky Mobile.

 

I've tested my work Vodafone SIM in the S23 Plus. There's no VoLTE option in 'Mobile Networks' settings but data is stable when a call is made.

You can see what mobile Data network type is available for data during a call by going to Settings/About Phone/Status/Sim Status.  With the Sky Sim  this  degrades to GSM/Edge when I call my voicemail say, while the call network degrades to 2G. I'd be curious to see your Vodafone Status during a call.

Was this during a call?  I've read that 4G calling/VoLte can be set up in the OS by the carrier without explicit switches, with the IMS APN hidden in the OS. Voice over LTE or 4g calling does not use the same data packet socket as the Internet. You can turn off Data and still have VoLTE. Sky obviously haven't a clue, and are not using Vodafones Voice packet data, or if they are they don't know how to set it up in certain phones during sim provisioning.

Software patch dated November 1st applied last night to my Samsung S21 phone automatically, not the new Android 15/One UI7 or anything but... Volte and Wifi calling are now provisioned and working! Volte toggle in the Mobile settings and phone stays in 4g voice 5g data during a call. Volte symbol in the top bar and wifi calling symbol when on wifi.
