Re: Sky Mobile Ireland - Disaster
It's fine now, has all the extras like 5G, HD calling/Volte, WiFicalling. Roamers seem happy enough. The €15 offer is still good till 10th February.

Re: Sky Mobile Ireland - Disaster
I am not sure if Sky will delete this. And do I not work for Tesco.
Tesco Mobile is 5G now and it's €20 per month on a SIM only rolling 30day contract. I get clubcard points for paying my bill along with my groceries. I had €30 worth of vouchers saved in December and coverted them to Pay Bills so I put €90 on my Tesco Mobile account. That means my annual cost for 2025 will be €150 versus Sky's €180 and being locked in a 12month contract.
This is first year I banked all my points with Tesco but even applying the vouchers quarterly gives you the same value.
The customer service are lovely not that I ever need to call them. Worth a try for 30days anyway.

Can recommend Sky Ireland. All things are smoothed out.
Best to initiate port after you get a sim/esim for testing purposes (Sky use Voda Ire) and there seems to be less port problems this way than order and port submission at the same time from what other new Sky Mo customers have told me, buy now port later is the word on the street.

Re: Sky Mobile Ireland - Disaster
If you're on prepay, porting is nearly instant, (from AnPost Mobile at any rate), as you can't be in debit. If you're on an account phone, your carrier has to check on outstanding non bundle charges, such as international call, early exit from a term offer, outstanding payments on a handset etc. They may need to raise a final direct debit from the customer before releasing the number for porting. Sky mention this in their information.
