Sky Ireland charges when calling UK or roaming within Europe
Im fairly new to Sky mobile- and less than impressed- 1st trip to UK and couldnt make/receive calls as mobile data not working..number of phonecalls to Sky when in a WIFI spot resolved this, cannot beleive they dont have a summary of how to change the APN details easily accessible.
Anyway i was told that the €15 monthly subscription included calls to UK- when i look at my projected Bill its showing over €72 already but the page is restricted in order for me to review reason behind charges. Have reached out to Sky- as useful as a chocolate teapot so far.
I was in spain for a few days- suspicion is roaming charges- does this mean no EU roaming with sky mobile?
thanks in advance for replies

Re: Sky Ireland charges when calling UK or roaming within Europe
I've been about to change to sky mobile here in Ireland. I've noticed they want to charge for calling other eu countries when roaming in eu. While it rarely happens for me, that would be illegal for them to do. I hasten to add, this is for sky mobile Ireland and not sky uk. As far as your question is concerned, if they want to offer roaming, they will have to follow the same rules as all other operators in the EU or they won't be offering anything as ComReg will deal with them. They may be able to charge for stuff while roaming in the UK for obvious reasons but they would be the only one as far as I know.
