Sim only plan reduced price not offered to existing customers?

I have 2 sim plans out of contract, Sky are offering reduced prices but if I down grade my plans from 4GB to 3GB price is showing as £10 each not £6 per month. I am currently paying £9 per month. Should I not be offered the same deal as new customers?

With Sky it doesn't work like that as new customer prices only apply if you order a new sim as they don't apply to your current one. The work around is to either call Sky to see if they will apply a new customer price to your new sim or order a new sim then you could either use the sim you have or if you want to transfer the number you have to the new sim then you would need to use a Pac code to transfer your current sim number to a PAYG network and then use another pac code you get from them to transfer it back to your new Sky sim.

In short, no - as you're not a new customer.  The terms are clear on these deals - they are for new or additional SIMs only.

However, you are welcome to call Sky and see if they'll apply an offer to an existing SIM.  You can always cancel if you're not happy.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
