I have planned to move provider and on Wednesday evening I inserted new sim and tried to activate and put Pac code.
I then got an error message .
I contacted sky and was told it would be passed to technical support and resolved in 24 hours.
I explained that I would be out of Europe for 9 days and my vodafone contract would stop and I may get higher charges till I could sort.
I was told I could see via sky.com,which I can and 40 hours later no change.
My wife called customer services who said vodafone still had number and I needed to move it !!
Shw was told i could telephone and they would Credit £10 but vodafone will charge 3£ a minute!,
None of this is possible with website informing me not possible at this stage.very frustrating ,can I have some advice please.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIf your Sky sim has activated then for the time being you can use your phone using the number that came with the sim.
If Vodafone haven't released your number for whatever reason then this might be where the delay is.

No sim has not been activated and seems it can't be until sky sort technical.
I is a technicial problem that I was told would be fixed in 24 hours
there is no reason for vodafone to not release and phone is unlocked
