Sim Activation

I received my Sky SIM today. I entered the activation code and my PAC code. I first got an error message that the PAC code is invalid (even though I obtained this yesterday). I then went ahead and entered the Sky sim activation code. It was on the "Sim being activated, will take a few minutes' screen for about an hour. It then disappeared and gave me the option to activate the sim again. I entered the sim activation code (but not the PAC as I could do this later) and it said Sim code already activated. Any advice on the next steps as I really want this sorted by the 5pm cut off today to hopefully be able to use my old number tomorrow. I am currently on hold waiting to get through via phone.

As customers all we can suggest is to see what Sky support says about the actvation.

Sky support via phone just told me that it is a Sky technical issue affecting all customers trying to activate their sim cards. I was advised to give it until the end of today/24 hrs before trying again.
