Re: Should I of received my SIM card with my MacBook Air?
Hi @katieanneclarke sometimes they come with the device but other times they come by Royal Mail. If not there early next week then you may need to call sky to chase it up. Did you also order a dongle as there is no sim slot on the laptop ?

Re: Should I of received my SIM card with my MacBook Air?
I've received my MacBook Monday just gone (Tuesday 1st October) and still no sign of sim. And no I didn't order a order, I wasn't aware I needed one 🙈

Re: Should I of received my SIM card with my MacBook Air?
If you want to use a sim with mobile data then you do need to order a dongle.
You have 30 days to activate the sim or it will be cancelled then you would need to order another one.

Hi @katieanneclarke the sales pages do mention one that you can add when ordering although they don't give any details.
they also sell one on their accessories pages, have a look at the likes of Amazon and perhaps Apple forums to see if anyone can recommend one there.

Re: Should I of received my SIM card with my MacBook Air?
Note that there's no requirement to activate a Sky SIM when purchasing a laptop from Sky Mobile, and it's frankly a mystery as to why Sky feels the need to ship them with computer hardware that doesn't have any direct use for such a thing.

It looks like you will only get one if you added it to your basket as per the instructions on the webpage:
-
Select the WiFi Dongle and add it to the basket
So did you do this ?

I added the sim to my basket but not the dongle as it never came up as an option.

In that case, yes, but as noted above actually using a SIM with a Macbook is frankly clumsy. The only reasonably neat way of doing so is to have a SIM with a generous data allowance in a phone and then set that up as a hotspot.
