Says im dialing an incorrect number for international calls

I want to ring an international number as i need to call my bank in america. I've been given 3 different numbers to ring but none work. I get the same "you've dialed an incorrect number" for each which leads me to think this is a sky problem. Also, your 3G coverage is shocking but I just want to sort out this international call thing first

You're not talking to Sky here - just other customers.

How are you dialling the US number?  If it's a non-geographic number (e.g. 'freephone') then you may have to find an alternative international dialling number.

Also, these calls will be chargeable at international rates - so you need a sufficient spend cap (or disabled).

That's currently £2.50 per MINUTE.

Also, 3G is being replaced by 4G/5G.  You may be lucky to get a 3G connection for that very reason.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Are you dialling the correct international code? IIRC you should dial 00 +01 then the number omitting the first digit - usually a 0 (00 to call out from the UK & 01 the Int dialing code for the US unless this has changed since I called my US friend).

Virginia.
I don’t work for Sky.
If I have helped then please leave a like.
