SIM card won’t work in new phone

I received my upgrade the iPhone 16 but my sim in and doesn't register, will only allow EE SIM card to work wich is strange because I've done it all through my sky app also in the settings on my new iPhone there was a number on there what I don't recognise and says it's already had 52 minutes call time. Which can't be because it's a brand new phone? SKY HAVE CLEARLY GIVEN ME A USED PHONE WHICH WAS FROM EE. to make things worse I converted my sky sim to eSIM downloaded it on new phone what didn't work now my sim won't even work back in my old phone

You are going to have to find a way to contact Sky about this so if you haven't another phone you could try social media as a way to cotact them.
