Ordered new iPhone 13. Tried to insert SIM card from iPhone 11 but it wouldn't fit. Rang sky and they said it should but offered to send new SIM card. Wanted to keep my number so said I would return the iPhone 13. Sky rang to say the phone was damaged so id have to either pay for repair or have the phone returned to me. I hardly touched the phone, just tried to inset SIM card. The adviser never mentioned different sizes of sim so I didn't know about that.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreBoth the iPhone 11 and 13 use nano SIM's. (So if done correctly is a simple case of moving from phone to phone)
What sort of damage is reported?
(Note: a replacement SIM would have had the same phone number)

They said the cradle was damaged. I've had iPhones for years and never had a problem using the SIM card. The sim just wouldn't sit in the cradle so could not insert it into new phone. I wonder now if the cradle was already damaged when I received it.

Phone call from sky. I either have the device returned as is, or they send it for repair. The cost of the repair will equal the cost of a new iPhone 13.
