Ported Iphone from Vodafone

Hi, got my new Sim yesterday and the email confirmation today that the new sim was ready and my number had been transferred.  Inserted new sim, had to manually change the number and turned off and back on. It recognises the sky network for about 10secs and then "No Service". If I go to Settings\About\Network this is showing as "Not Available" and "Phone not allowed" . Have tried turning on/off airplane mode and also reset network settings, but same thing happens each time, get the sky network for a few seconds then it goes off. Thinking I may just leave it for 24 hours or so to see if its not updated everything yet?

It is worth doing this as it does appear sometimes Sky send that email out a little bit to early before it has transferred. If the same happens tomorrow then give Sky a call so they can investigate this for you,

Is the phone locked to Vida phone?

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own

Re: Ported Iphone from Vodafone

So I waited 24 hours and still same issues, went through all the usual things over the phone and they sent me a replacement SIM, replaced this and still same issue, think I may just go back to Vodafone to be honest and cancel this.

This suggests that despite what you said it could well be locked to Vodafone.

I agree - unlocking services aren't always fully successful.

Re: Ported Iphone from Vodafone

May well be the case, however the Network Provider Lock option is No Sim restriction. I'll try and find another phone and put the Sim in.
