Re: Piggy bank data missing

Sky shoud have honoured what people had already accumulated. As technically you have paid for data reguardless weither you use or not. Sky are the worst at honouring any deals, offers etc. They are not good to for their word. A horrible company to deal with, no customer loyalty what do ever. Ditched tv years ago best move ever. Seriously considering ditching mobile now. As offers nothing roll over is worthless and the lowest package gives tiny gb. Better deals elsewhere.

@GrahamWest

We are cuistomers only here.

From 4th June any data in your piggybank that has been in it for 12 months or more has been removed. Apparently Sky sent emails/letters out about this in April of last year. From now on in data remains in the piggybank for 12 months from the date it was added to it.

@GrahamWest  Your post has been added to a lengthy thread discussing the issue

information was sent out with the April 2024 price increase about the change in that you only keep data now for 12 months

The good news is they've taken months 13 to 36 this month.  Next month they'll only take month 13.

Re: Piggybank data

Did you manage to find the email they sent to customers? If so could you let me know date?

TIA

@Lloyd441  It would have been sent in batches so the date won't be the same for every customer

Mine was 5th January 2024.  But as noted, mails were batched over many days...

Re: Piggybank data

Thank you for your reply.

I'm currently talking to sky asking for specific date they sent it as I simply don't recall this alleged email. I'm kinda hoping that surely it was more than just one email for such an important policy change on how they store the data we have paid for!

Im hoping that they also advertise to new customers that piggybank data is only stored for 12 months as it currently stands  in my opinion miss leading.

Nope, it was one mail - as detailed above.  The paragraph about it was about 2/3rds of the way down.

Data always had an expiry, they gave more than 12 months notice of the expiry changing to 1 year.

All the details are on their webpage: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-mobile-sky-piggybank

The email was regarding that year's annual price increase, so it's difficult to imagine that anyone not receiving it wouldn't have raised it when their prices suddenly went up.

As @PandJ2020 states the piece about the Piggybank was further down the email.
