Same in Hawaii and totally ruined my tours as need maps or can't move anywhere far from the coach. Ultra rude vision at service - they MUST know they've a problem, but instead of being honest, they obfuscate and get rude. They must think we're mugs!

This is not about signal, don't try discourage people from raising it. There IS signal, other users easily have it. It is clearly a problem with Sky local network agreements and that IS their responsibility. No excuses or get our clauses!!

Having same problem in Florida and still being charged daily. It's not good enough. No help on customer support just fobbed off

Not able to use my phone in USA

Hello,

I've been in the USA for the better part of 2 weeks now. I've lost data and the possibility for people calling me since 20th Feb. Just to clarify, I don't have any data, and if someone tries calling me, they get a message that I can't be reached. I can make call though. Even though I practically cannot use my phone, I still get charged with the daily fee for Passport plus which is ridiculous. For the last 3 days, I've been able to make one single call, not been able to use any data. I've tried all the debugging steps in the Help menu, etc.and nothing works.

It's becoming ridiculous and with the only response being the information is related to the technical team, it is not giving me much hope of this being fixed.

 

Please provide some more information and when a potential fix will be available

This is a customer helps customer community so all we can say is that the reported issues on roaming in certain countries very be last few days have apparently been fixed. 

What have you done so far to try and get it working again ?

Hello,

I tried the steps defind in the Help section which were trying to turn off and on my data, rebooting my phone, requesting new configuration settings for MMS GPRS and Internet browsing, etc. and there is no difference. I tried using a different operator from AT&T but I get a message that I can't register on those networks (T-Mobile, Verizon).

 

Will try later again to go through all the steps but I am not feeling extremely positive I will succeed.

Any recommendations of what we can do if ours isn't working still?  Anyone else not had this resolved?

Hi I'm home now and have cancelled sky. They didn't care at all, just provided me with pac codes. We got e-sims to get us through the remainder of the trip. Worst holiday I've ever had, and it was my honeymoon. Very disappointed.

I ended up purchasing an ESIM from Holafly. Really easy to do and excellent signal through out. This was a data only and then I made any calls on WhatsApp etc. make sure you turn off data roaming on the primary (sky) sim for the duration of the trip!

My son is in New York and is having this same issue. I'm the account holder and trying to sort it for him back here! We went 2 years ago and had no issues so didn't think to even change to sn esim etc. He's 18 and there on his own 

 

I keep seeing forum posts saying it's fixed but clearly not. He arrived last night and got the welcome text etc. Everything worked fine last night and while he was out and about this morning then it stopped at 8am. He's tried everything suggested but still no data roaming.

AIUI the general problem was resolved (there would be a lot more posts if it wasn't...)

 

When I was in Florida last I had to power my phone off and on again to kick the passport back into life.  Alternatively, try manually selecting a network.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Hi all, I'm going to NYC on 12th April, has the roaming issue been sorted? Don't really want to buy an esim!!
