Phone number has reverted back to temporary number after iPhone update

I've just updated my iPhone 13 with latest software and my phone has reverted back to the temporary number Sky gave me when I changed from Vodafone - I can't send text messages from my number now and can't receive calls. It's been ok until I did the update. I've tried to change the number in settings but it just goes back to the temporary number

Hi @Jo+Langham  it has been reported before on here that it can take quite a few attempts to get the number to change, are you restarting your phone as well as changing the number ?

Yes I've turned it on and off again several times - it's obvs something to do with the software update as was all ok until I updated
