Re: Phone number doesn't exist

I have left sky mobile and joined Vodafone. The issue has completely gone and all numbers now connect that previously wouldn't. Hope this helps.

Re: Phone number doesn't exist

Thanks for your replies. Sky tried a work around with new sims etc etc but no luck. What they have now done is new sim, new plan, new contract as an add on to my account, once activated it worked without issue other than no ringing tone for callers when they rang me from a landline but not a mobile, the result being that they would call, hear nothing and hang up, meanwhile my mobile would ring or display a missed call 🤦‍♂️.   Anyway the people at 150 have been fantastic, they got this second issue sorted, cancelled my old number/contract without penalty, applied a couple of credits to my mobile account and added a 50% off the monthly sim price.

Over the years I have previously been been with virgin, 3, EE and Vodafone and all have had their own little individual issues for me. My biggest problem was the loss of signal in different parts of my house, no such problem with sky whatsoever. They have always given unparalleled customer service to me (25yrs) so I have stuck with them.

The disgraceful customer service actually came from the technical dept which they refer to as the "back end team" they are the ones who claim to have called when they didn't, closed my case without resolving it claiming the problem was fixed or no faults found.

I have since found out that the "back end team" are O2 tech support and so when sky has a problem like mine it ends up with them as sky runs piggyback on the O2 network. Hard to be angry at sky when good old O2 are up to their usual customer service just like when they were cellnet.

I have found other posts regarding the "number doesn't exist" on even O2, Vodafone and 3 help forums so it appears not to be just a sky issue.

So I wish you all well with problem free calling and thanks for sharing your experience so.

Big thanks to the 150 team at Sky, it'll be a very long ice age in hell before the O2 tech support or O2 get my thanks or direct custom.
