Phone in europe
Good morning. I have an iPhone 11 and a sky sim bought as a package last year.
We are off to Majorca next week and need to be able to send and receive the occasional call to and from the Uk.
What do I need to do to enable that to happen?
I cannot access the sky website as I just get error or technical problems when I try to navigate the site.
My needs are not complex but I cannot get a simple answer anywhere.

Re: Phone in europe
Hi @Lucyliu2 make sure roaming and mobile data enabled in your phone settings, make sure your monthly spend cap is set sufficiently high enough to cover the £2 daily charge for each day you wish to use it. When you make a call, send a text or use a small amount of data then the charge kicks in and lasts 24 hours, allowing you to use your home allowance.

Re: Phone in europe
@Lucyliu2 It will cost £2 per day and that will allow you to use your UK allowance of data, calls and texts.
You will have to make sure your spend cap is set high enough to cover the £2 a day fee otherwise you will have no service.

Re: Phone in europe
Thanks.
Does this apply to incoming calls from the UK?
Assuming the phone is activated as described will it charge anything if it is not used for a day or two? If that is the case then it can be left activated for the 2 weeks we are there?
The phone will not be used much, the important thing is not missing any important/urgent calls.

Re: Phone in europe
@Lucyliu2 If you are only using the phone for receiving calls then turn off the data and data roaming and you won't be charged, you will only be charged if you use data, make calls or send texts.

Re: Phone in europe
Thanks.
i'm not fretting about to #£2 a day charge, but making sure I do not miss anything that may be important by doing something silly. Never really took to smartphones so still a bit of a mistery to me.
