I had this problem with my iPhone 11 for about a year. I also had trouble with 4g never working and essentially being a waste of money to pay for.
I have since changed over to 02 and I am having no problems. Signal is much better and I haven't had a call drop yet.

Follow up to my earlier messages.
I have been doing some research online and found a possible solution to the call dropping out issue and was hoping some of you might try this and confirm if this is an acceptable solution.
On an iPhone go into:
settings >
mobile data >
Mobile data options >
voice and data >
then turn off the 5g and auto 5g and just click on 4g.
then make some calls and see if this helps.
please let me know and everyone else on here as this could be a simple solution that sky have overlooked.
fingers crossed.

Mine is the same. I don't think sky mobile is fit for purpose! Cuts out when been on hold for GP or hospital calls 😡

I've noticed an occasional dropped call on my iPhone 13, usually at the start of a call, when I'm at home. The signal at my home is prone to changing between 4g and 3g and I think when it does so the call drops out.
WiFi calling used to be ok a few months ago and then it became poor with distorted sound so I disabled it and now I've noticed these occasional dropped calls. I may try using WiFi calling again though that can drop the call if move too far away from the router signal.

I thought I had sorted the issue with a new sim and upgraded phone (was nearing the end of my contract) but the wifi calling is at best intermittent and at worst non-existent. I live in a rural area and rely on wifi calling. If I ring someone through WhatsApp it's perfect to the point I don't bother making normal phone calls. What has improved is calls whilst I'm away from home using normal data but when it switches between 3G and 4G it can drop out where I can't hear the other person. Very, very annoying and will be going back to sky.. again..

I've called Sky about this and been sent replacement SIMs, they refuse to acknowledge the issue and say I need to send phones in for repair. Note: phones, plural. Apparently, they enjoy wasting everyone's time and money. I told them the chances were they'd come back saying there is no fault with the phones because it's a known issue. They say it is not. I told them there are pages and pages in the forums showing this is a widespread issue. They said it's not Sky employees in those forums, so basically we're making it up. Infuriating!
Does anyone have a useful contact phone/email for someone who can update us on what's going on with this issue?
I waited on hold with HMRC for over an hour, then got five minutes talking to the person before "call failed." This was after specifically turning my phone off and on before the call, which tends to give me a little more time before "call failed." For the amount of money I'm paying them, they should be able to give me phones (and a network) that works.

@Tcy13 Its probably because only a smaller amount of users rather than all are affected so it's not worth the time and effort on looking into it.
I spent two years using a Samsung with the issue. To upgrade to an iPhone 13 with the same issue. I've had two replacement sims and it's all the same.
I get anxious when I use the phone so it's literally important the only time I use it (like with yours with the HMRC which would be a nightmare to start with) Yesterday was during two calls with the doctors and she ended up giving up after it cut off twice.
This morning on another issue I spent time anxiously looking at the screen and panicking every time it went quiet. I find once it does it once, it does it quicker next time. Yet the rest of the family who are also on Sky don't have it happen to them. So if it's not the phones or sims....maybe the numbers or connections? Until someone investigates though...

Also what makes it more annoying, it's not always evident straight away the call has failed. It just goes totally silent yet the call timer is still counting down. It doesn't hang up!
so you're talking away and the other person is saying hello and neither can hear each other!

Well it's been quite a few months since I moved to GifGaf, I haven't had one single call fail since

I've had the same issues for 2 years and tried all the suggestions on here and they didn't work for me. Just switched to EE and haven't had a single dropped call. Even the calls sound clearer than before.

Hi
I have done as requested and changed my SIM card and also changed my phone, and I have had no more problems, thank you for your help

@Sparks8008 I will try that but it used to happen on my previous phone which didn't have 5G.

@skypuffy ...no. I had my last phone 2 years before upgrading and I thought it was the phone causing it. That would be a long time for upgrading systems.
