Brand new iPhone 13 pro and call keeps dropping. 5 phone calls in a row. Extremely frustrating especially when on important calls

Re: Phone calls dropping out

I have had the same problem for last week. Sometimes the calls are ok but sometimes they drop off after few seconds. Really annoying. I have iPhone 13.

@Lanaocionga @Baiba I have read that there has been a recent ios update 15.1.1 which is exclusively for iPhones 12 and 13 to fix call drop outs so check what ios you are on.

Re: Phone calls dropping out

@Daniel0210  Tried this as soon as I saw the update was available on my phone. It's not made any difference unfortunately

Me too, on an iPhone XS. Every call I have incoming or outgoing drops after about a minute. Very annoying and frustrating!

Re: Phone calls dropping out

Hi, over the past couple of weeks I am constantly having my calls drop off, this doesn't matter where I am and I have a good signal when this happens. I had to make the same call 5 times this morning as the call kept failing.

can we please have some help with this

Re: Phone calls dropping out

Yep having the same problem. Apple have run diagnostics on my iphone and it's 100% fine.

Wife has a Samsung, same Sky mobile contract, her phone works totally fine, if I put her sim in my phone, the calls still fail.

Re: Phone calls dropping out

Seen so many posts here detailing exactly the same issue I have with calls failing & dropping out. Usually 30secs to 1min into the call, with clear signal & bang, call failed. New Sky Mobile customer with IPhone 13. So disappointed & frustrated with this.

With this many people having the same issue it could be one for the press (Martin Lewis maybe..)

Re: Phone calls dropping out

I have replaced sim and had phone checked out. new sim been put in an Iphone 7 also on 15.1.1 and calls dropping out on that phone too. seems to me that it is the latest apple update or an issue with the signal although ive tried it in several locations and its doing it wherever I am. totally unusable now as cant make any calls without it dropping out.

Re: Phone calls dropping out

It's really weird, while you and I and about 5 -10 others on here appear to have exactly the same problem, thousands of people must have iphones on Sky that are working fine, otherwise this forum would be in meltdown.

I've just had another look at the O2 forum, doesn't seem to be any complaints about this problem on there either.

A friend and his wife live  just round the corner from me, both have Iphones, both on O2, zero problems.

My iphone is totally unusable to make or recieve calls at the moment,  if someone calls me, within about a minute, call failed.

I have a giifgaff PAYG o2 sim arriving today, going to put £6 on it just to see what happens if I try using O2 via them, if it's the same, then it's not a Sky problem as such, it's something else weird going on,  if it works, it must be something to do with Sky settings on our phones.

I also have an EE PAYG sim, if the gifgaff fails, will put £10 on the EE one to see if their network works.

MInd you, it shouldnt be up to me to spend money to try and trace the problem

Out of interest, I live in Gorleston near Great Yarmouth Norfolk,  just checking that the rest of us with the same problem, don't live in the same place.

Re: Phone calls dropping out

Hi, I have a work iphone 7 that currently is on 15.1.1 with an EE sim and it works perfectly and have swapped that sim to my sky XR and working perfectly, so suggests to me its a sky issue. Im in North Northumberland so the other end of coutry to yourself.

Re: Phone calls dropping out

Giffgaff sim arrived a few mins ago, also O2.

Avtivated the sim, put it in my Iphone X, didn't alter anything on the iphone, made a few calls and everything working 100% perfectly, no dropped calls at all.

Re: Phone calls dropping out

Sounds like its definitly a sky issue. I have tried doing all the checks they reccomended and they say its an issue with the phone itself. It quite clearly isnt. I will phone them again as have had more luck phoning that I have with the online forum.
