POOR SHOW SKY-VIP customer you can only have a Black Friday SIM deal is you have take a new number

Seen a Black Friday deal which would work for me 5gb at £6 per month. However I would have to lose my telephone number I have had for over 35 years. If I want to stay with SKY MOBILE and retain my number I have to pay £9 per month (50% more). So remaining with SLY SKY MOBILE costs me more. Just shows new customers far more important than existing. We know they can allow you to retain your number on the new deal but choose not to. VIP and customer retention is **bleep**.

Hi @LuluGold14  have you rang up and asked ? There is a workaround if they won't give you a deal, transfer your number to a different network on PAYG, get a sim with the new deal, port the old number back to the new sim.

Hi @LuluGold14  have you rang up and asked ? There is a workaround if they won't give you a deal, transfer your number to a different network on PAYG, get a sim with the new deal, port the old number back to the new sim.

There  is a work around that will see you keep your mobile number:

 

Order the new sim and activate it.

Get a pac code and move this number you want to keep to a PAYG network.

Get another pac code from the PAYG network to move the number to this new Sky sim.

These offers, Black Friday or otherwise are usually for new sims only. It's nothing new,

Not new, but just shows staying loyal and so-called VIP is 50% more expensive. Feel conned

Many thanks. Knew that one but SKY MOBILE at their discretion could have allowed me to retain my number, but they choose not to.

Everyone is a 'VIP' and the scheme isn't about discounts.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Many thanks. Yup aware of work around. Did 'Chat' and phone but no go from SKY MOBILE.

SKY bang on about being a VIP not me. Anyway it's not the money it's the principle that to stay with them and retain your number you have to pay 50% more.

Thats a bit unusual @LuluGold14  as they did give me loyalty discounts on my sims when I phoned, not as good as the deals for new customers but ok. I spoke with the customer loyalty team.
