I've recently swapped from Three to Sky Mobile and successfully (or so I thought) transferred my old number to my new sim. Everything seems to be working fine with the exception of text messages. I'm able to make calls and it shows my old number however when I text people it's sending messages from the temporary Sky Mobile number rather than my old number which I transferred. People can't then reply to it because the number doesn't exist. I've been able to resolve this by turning off wifi messaging (not sure how this is relevant) but then sometimes it swaps back to sending messages from the mobile number that doesn't exist. This is getting very confusing for my friends and family, and it's not an issue with calling.
Thoughts?

If this is an iphone go to Settings - Phone - My Number and change it if it is wrong, then reboot the phone.
If it is an Android phone go to About Phone > My Phone number, change it and reboot the phone.
