Ordered MacBook Air 2025 and it’s been 2 weeks

Hi. 
Spoke to an agent via online chat earlier today. WHERE DO I BEGIN!!!

Firstly I said I wanted to complain again about the delivery time on the MacBook I ordered and then secondly I wanted to complain about the complaint I had already made. I received an email about the complaint saying Sky attempted to contact me which is untrue. I received no communication in relation to the complaint.

Regarding the MacBook order -

I was told by the agent the hold up on deliveries basically came down to Sky not receiving their stock to pass on to customers as the stock they ordered from suppliers was coming to them in a bulk order due to new devices such as iPhone 17's and Google devices being released. 
Furthermore I was then told by the agent that due to there being no stock my original order would be automatically cancelled and I would have to wait 72 hours to make a new order. Unless I found this out, Sky would not have contacted me to let me know. 
I was disgusted. I made clear I would be making a report and complaint to UK trading standards. 

Fast forward a couple of hours and I have received an email from Sky and DPD to say the MacBook is now on its way. 
I immediately checked my Sky account and the delivery date is 16th October, 3 days ago!!!

I have never in my life seen a mess or came across as many lies after ordering an expensive device. I don't know whether the emails are correct or system generated. I don't know what's really happening. 
None of it makes any sense. 

Anybody awaiting a MacBook, I would urge you to contact Sky and threaten to bring in trading standards.

Did you get your mac book yet? Orderd 3rd oct all they keep saying is delayed 1 week

iv phined them twice now and both times just say be here in a week i have been given a case ref number now as they have esculated it so told them i need it for a birthday end of oct and they have said it will be here by then but we shall see. did say i could switch to a clour that is in stock but id have to reorder pay the ufront agan and then refuse the delivery of the orginal one when it comes. im not about to do that and be further out of pocket

I got an update from DPD that the MacBook I ordered should be delivered today. 

I had to contact Sky several times similar to other customers in this conversation. I was being lead around in circles by Sky. 

Eventually its seems to have been sorted on Sunday once I said I was escalating an ongoing complaint and further more making a report to UK Trading Standards.

i dont understand why they just cant ammend my order to the colour they have in stock and send that one its a joke

@Melissa0912  honestly they just say the ssame thing over and over again like yess we certain you will have it by the end of this week and then the same again when u phone back its for my daughters 16th birthday on the 31st of this month hense why i ordered in plenty of time well i thought i did

Yeah I needed mine for work and I am falling well behind now and all there saying is there sorry and understand my frustration ahhhh just hurry up and deliver my MacBook
