Also OTP from bank.

 

I'm calling it fixed from my perspective.

 

BUT:

 

(1) It should never have happened.

 

(2) It should have been fixed damn quick.

 

(3) Sky should have been more open and responsive to customers.

I'm still not receiving OTP from Santander, investment conpanys, and Ns and I. I'm getting really angry with this, totally unacceptable, and has caused some issues as I've needed to send money to people. Amateur company and I will be swiftly leaving.

I have the same issue with Beehive Money and the Teachers Pension Scheme where OTPs not received.

 

The usual actions (iPhone 14) on checking and resetting network settings have been done to no effect.

 

Thought it might be due to return from overseas holiday in Asia end of last week but seeing this thread seems unlikely. I've sent details of the timing of latest issues so let's see what happens now.

Unable to receive verification codes

Recently switched to sky from EE. Since setting up new phone I'm unable to receive verification codes when trying to install/use apps like telegram for example. How do I fix please?

I recently moved from EE to Sky and since setting up new phone I am unable to receive verification codes or OTP via sms.
I'm trying to launch telegram messenger on new phone and it asks to enter verification code sent via sms but i don't recieve code .

Seems to be a common issue with Sky and OTP's

It's been over a month now and I'm still not receiving my otp from Santander. Why hasn't this been sorted 😡

Finally, after 4 weeks, I have access to my santander bank account.  OTP's are now been sent to my email address!   It's not perfect, and doesn't work every time when making payments but it's better than nothing.  I have lost the option of having a mobile banking app on any device.  This means I have access only via the Web.  

I transferred to Sky mobile last June 2023, and looking back now, realise I have had this problem on and off since then.  This last episode lasting  the longest to resolve.   I have believed all along that it was my fault, user error!

My wife just suggested looking in the Spam area of my texts.

Didn't even know this was a thing but low and behold, there were my OTPs.

I suggest looking there.

Seems fixed for us but I'm not signing up for a new 18 month contract (though I guess that would be cheaper) but keeping it on a 30 day rolling contract so that I can move quicker if the same happens again which seems unfortnately possible given previous history.

 

I would feel more comfortable if they had given a full explanation and what they have done to improve matters but I suspect they are keeping everyone in the dark including their customer service agents.

I am not receiving security authentication codes

I am not receiving security texts from bank, studio or nhs, is anyone else having this issue & does anyone know how to fix it?

Not receiving OTP from Natwest

I have been trying to receive activation codes and OTPs from Natest for 3 weeks now and have spent circa 4 hours on the phone to NatWest trying to resolve. They are telling me it is an issue with my network provider - has anyone else got any advice here or had the same issue resolved? I have tried all the other recommendations to attempt to resolve this. Thank you
