Number ported into Sky yesterday. People from EE get "Number not recognised" when they phone me

Hi,

 

Very frustrated with Sky at the moment.

 

I have ported my phone number to yourselves yesterday.   Everything seemed to be going smoothly and I could receive and make phone calls fine.

 

However, Yorkshire Water have been round today and were supposed to  phone me before arriving.     When they dial my number, they get "Number not recognised"  (they did this in front of me, she is defintely dialling the correct number).     She was on the EE network.

 

Also, I tried to log onto the Aviva app and they send me a text message but I don't receive it and can't log on.   The same with my bank as well so at the moment I can't log into that either.

 

I just spent about 20 minutes trying to navigate the help on the phone and finally got through to someone.   He just didn't seem to understand what I was saying but said he will get it investigated and I will receive compensation.   I don't want compensation, just for it to work.

 

I then got 2 emails, one saying a complaint had been raised and the next one saying the complaint has been closed????

 

Could anyone please help me.   I've got a water leak at the moment and I desperately need Yorkshire Water to be able to phone me to repaid the leak.

Without knowing what device you have, have you checked to see that you havem't got a block on unknown numbers ?

Thanks for the response.

 

It's not the phone which is a Google Pixel 8.  It doesn't block unknown numbers.

 

A friend who is on EE has now tried to phone me and he gets exactly the same.  The porting looks to have only partially worked.
