I recently moved from EE to Sky and requested my number be ported. After a 24+ hour delay I finally received an email stating everything was completed, but I have now just received a message from a family member asking me if I had changed my number. I said no, but they stated the text message had come from and unrecognised number. On inspection, this number was the one I was given by Sky before the port request was processed.
Has anybody any idea how or why this has happened and how I get the matter resolved ASAP ? Thx.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHi @ste1975 if this is an iPhone go to settings, phone, my number and check the correct number is stored there, if not then update it, exit and restart your phone. It can take a lot of attempts to save.

Hi John.
Not an iPhone, but I managed to resolve the issue thx.
The problem related to RCS chats, and for some reason when my number was ported, the RCS no# remained unchanged, hence my family receiving messages from an unknown number.
All updated now, so problem solved.
