Number moved to sky but when texting it's not my number recieving

Just moved to sky and brought my number from old provider but when I text people they don't receive it from me it's some random number,it's not a iPhone but a pixel 10 but phone calls come correctly it's just texts,any ideas what could be wrong?

It might be worth contacting Sky by calling them on 150 and asking tjem

to send you a replacement sim as that can fix issues like this as it will come with the correct number attached to it.

Have you checked to see if the correct number is shown in the settings app and if it is wrong changed it ?

Hi @Markg781  have you tried this ?

 

Go to sky.com/networksettings (My Account > Mobile > Settings) and sign in with your Sky iD.
Select the mobile number or SIM name you're having trouble with.
Scroll to 'Resend network settings' and select Request settings.
Save the settings when your receive them and reboot your phone.

Done that but nothing really happened so just done a restart but still nothing.

In the RCS messaging number part it's still the new number sky gave me not my old one that I brought with me and I can't change it,any ideas?

It might be worth try to refresh the network settings:

 

Open the Settings app, tap System, then Reset options, and finally choose Reset Mobile Network Settings.

Hi,

 

Don't that and they are sending out new SIM plus they said they would also email portal team to see if they can sort it quicker.
