Not letting me save my number on my iPhone

I've kept my old number for my new iPhone. My number switched yesterday but noticed I couldn't use iMessage. I read about changing my number in the "my number" setting but it's not letting me save it. I've tried a few times too....can anyone help me?

Give this a try:

 

Try refreshing the network settings so go Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings.Then go to Settings - Phone - My Number and change it if it is wrong, then reboot the phone. You will need to set up your Wifi connection again.
