No signal and no mobile data abroad in Spain

Hi I'm currently in Tenerife and I have no signal and no data so can't text or use phone help me fix this

Data roaming won't work in Menorca

I we have just landed in menorca on holiday and my data roaming is not working. No welcome message, no phone signal, messaging or mobile data. I have tried all of the suggestions on the sky help and am out of ideas. It's worked on this phone for previous trips and my husbands and daughters phones have kicked in as normal. Any suggestions would be very much welcome?

Hi @EJHubs07  there has been quite a few reports of roaming issues lately. Have you tried turning off automatic network selection then try a manual search and connect to others that appear ? If it's an iPhone try settings, mobile service, sim applications and change the setting there ?

Hi yes I have tried that, it won't let me access any of the networks as it says my sim does not allow access to them which is strange as they worked perfectly fine last October.

Although you don't have to have you tried setting a spend cap ?

You could try turning off automatic network selection in the settings then get your phone to search for other available networks to see if it will then connect and allow you to make calls. Also make sure the spend cap hasn't been reached if you have one set.


Although you don't have to, do you have a spend cap set because if you do it needs to be high enough to cover your stay.

Roaming: No network and "refreshing SIM data"

Hi,

I am currently in Spain and am struggling to get any network coverage out here. I either get "Emergency calls only" or "No service" in the status bar and the "Refreshing SIM data" popping up every few seconds.

I have looked at all of the solutions on here and elsewhere and nothing is working.

I have rebooted my phone, turned airplane mode on/off, requested network settings in the My Sky app (but I don't receive any notification), and gone into Sky Menu and pressed "Automatic" etc. in there.

 

I have also attempted to create a new APN manually, however when I create one and enter MCC 234 and MNC 57 and press "save" the APN I created just disappears.

 

Please, does anyone have any other solutions to this problem? Thanks very much.

As well as automatic due you also have the option for abroad ?

No sevices in menorca

Been in menorca 6 days and my data roaming has been fine. Now I have no service at all. Airplane mode is off. Data roaming is off. Turned my phone on and off. Now I have no service or data??

Hi @Ben204  this does seem to happen with roaming in Spain quite often. Have you checked you haven't reached either of your two spend caps ? Also try turning off automatic network selection in your phone settings then select different networks from the list.

Appalling no sky mobile coverage in spain

Cannot get into work emails or mobile banking here in San sebastian because of no mobile cover ,what a disturbing from sky mobile
