No mobile signal

I have no mobile signal for about 8 hours .I've tried switching off and on again .I've even tried it in another phone still no luck .

I've just had a similar problem. In my case my spouse had full signal and I had none. My phone kept notifying "not registered to network". After calling customer service, found out my sim card had packed in. Received replacement card today and now everything working OK.
